Judgments of Hon’ble SEBI Special Court no. 22, City Civil and Sessions Court, Kalaghoda, Mumbai
dated December 26, 2016 in respect of Mr. Sachin Patil
Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) filed three separate prosecution complaints (SEBI Special Case No.
9/13, 202/2014 and 70/2015) against Mr. Sachin Patil (the accused) under section 24 (2) of the SEBI Act, 1992
for non payment of penalties imposed by the Adjudication officers of SEBI in the matters of Robinson Worldwide Trade
Ltd., Genus Commu Trade Ltd. and Vijay Textiles Ltd. The said cases were tried by the SEBI Special Court
(Court No. 22), City Civil and Sessions Court, Kalaghoda, Mumbai wherein the offence of non-payment of penalty was
proved against the accused. Accordingly, the Hon'ble SEBI Special Court convicted the accused in all three
cases vide three separate judgments dated December 26, 2016. In each case, the accused was sentenced to undergo
simple imprisonment of one month and the imprisonment in all three cases will run consecutively.
