Order in the matter of Sahara Asset Management Company Private Limited

Shri S Raman, Whole Time Member, SEBI, has passed an order on February 27, 2015 in the matter of Sahara Asset Management Company Private Limited (SAMCPL). SAMCPL had applied for renewal of certificate of registration as a Portfolio Manager vide its application dated July 6, 2012.
 
The order concludes that SAMCPL is not a ‘fit and proper person’ to act as a Portfolio Manager in the Indian securities market and rejects the application for renewal of certificate of registration as a portfolio manager submitted by SAMCPL.
