Order in the matter of Napa Papers Ltd.

Dr. T. C. Nair, Whole Time Member, SEBI has passed an order on December 19, 2007 with respect to Sh. Ajay R. Vakheria, Sh. Santosh Bansal, Classic Financial Services, Sh. Ulhas C. Paymaster, Sh. Bhavesh Parekh, Sh. Vijay Mehta, Sh. Rajratan R. Mohta, Sh. Radheshyam Khandelwal, Sh. Gopal Jhunjhunwala, Hi-Tech Gears and Sh. Shreyas S. Morakhia in the matter of Napa Papers Ltd.

The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. (BSE) has been directed to refund the money expeditiously to those entities as mentioned in the order, along with interest accrued in Investor Protection Fund against the respective entities. Further it has been directed that in cases where money is to be released as per the order to the brokers, BSE should ensure that the same is released to the ultimate clients and shall obtain proof of payments to clients by the brokers and BSE should also forward a report of compliance showing the total balance amount left with BSE after the payment, relating to this case, to SEBI within a week after the payments.
