Order against Shri Sameer K.Chotai
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has passed an order dated October 14, 2004 prohibiting Shri Sameer K. Chotai, a sub-broker operating under the trade name of Om Shares and Securities and having SEBI Registration No. INS011251019 affiliated to M/s. M P Vora Shares & Securities Ltd., member, the Stock Exchange, Mumbai, from buying, selling or dealing in securities in any manner, directly or indirectly with immediate effect pending initiation and completion of enquiry proceedings and determination of further appropriate action on receipt of the enquiry report.
The order has been passed against Shri Sameer K. Chotai for non-maintenance of client registration forms and broker-client agreement, non-collection of margin from any of the clients etc., and for entering into and executing trades outside the trading mechanism of BOLT provided by BSE and settling such illegal trades in cash on a weekly / fortnightly / monthly basis without actual receipt / delivery of securities either in physical or demat mode for such illegal transactions.
