Registration of Shri Shashikant M.Damani, Member of BSE, suspended

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has passed an order dated September 10, 2004 suspending the certificate of registration granted to Shashikant M. Damani, (SEBI Registration No. INB010026511), member of The Stock Exchange, Mumbai for a period of 3 (three) months with effect from October 01, 2004. 
 
The order has been passed by the Chairman, SEBI against Shri Shashikant M. Damani for failure to report principal to principal trades and indulging in off market negotiated deals, illegally and unauthorized grant of trading terminal to a client, failure to maintain document register, failure to make payment/delivery of securities to clients in the stipulated time, failure to obtain agreements from the clients, irregularities in issuance of Contract Notes etc.
 
Shri Shashikant M. Damani, member of The Stock Exchange, Mumbai will not be entitled to carry on the business as a stock broker with effect from October 01, 2004 till December 31, 2004.
