Certificate of registration of M/s. Soni Securities Ltd.,

Member – NSE, suspended

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended the certificate of registration of M/s. Soni Securities Ltd., Member, National Stock Exchange for a period of one month. The Order shall come into effect on expiry of three weeks from the date of the Order. The Order has been passed by Shri A K Batra, Whole Time Member, SEBI, on July 5, 2004.
 
M/s. Soni Securities Ltd. had not been diligent enough in showing due skill and care while dealing with its client i.e. CDP Fincap & Leasing Pvt. Ltd. (CDP). By dealing with a client who had an ulterior motive, the member had failed to exercise proper skill and diligence and has also admitted to lack of vision while dealing on behalf of CDP.
