Conviction of V. R. Mathur Mass Communications Ltd., and its Directors

The Special Judge for Economic Offences, Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad has convicted V. R. Mathur Mass Communications Ltd., a Hyderabad based company its Managing Director and another director and sentenced the Managing Director Shri Vimal Raj Mathur to imprisonment for a term of three months and a fine of Rs. 15000/-. The Company as well as the other director, Smt. Suneeti Raj Mathur have been imposed a fine of Rs. 15000/- each. 

SEBI prosecuted the above persons under Sec. 63 and 68 of Companies Act, 1956 for their misstatements in the prospectus of the company during its public issue of shares.
