SUSPENSION/WARNING OF MEMBER
 
SECONDARY MARKET DEPARTMENT

1. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended M/s Singhania Brothers Pvt. Ltd, member of Calcutta Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB 031018935) for a period of one month. He has been suspended in terms of Sub-Regulation (3) of Regulation 29 of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-Brokers) Regulations, 1992 for irregularities in issuance of contract notes, non-segregation of own funds from clients' funds, not reporting off-the-floor transactions and indulging in unauthorised carry forward transactions. M/s Singhania Brothers Pvt. Ltd, member of Calcutta Stock Exchange will not be entitled to carry on the business as a Stock Broker with effect from July 23, 1999 till August 22, 1999.

2. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has warned M/s D. B. (India) Securities Ltd., Member of Delhi Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB050692035) for not maintaining proper records, irregularities in issuance of contract notes, delay in payment to clients, charging excess brokerage and non reporting off-the-floor transactions. The warning has been served in terms of Sub-Regulation (3) of Regulation 29 of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-Brokers) Rules & Regulations, 1992.
