SUSPENSION OF BROKERS
SECONDARY MARKET DEPARTMENT – DBA – I

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended Shri Pramod Kumar Kothari, member of Calcutta Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB030059818) for a period of six months. He has been suspended in terms of Sub-Regulation (3) of Regulation 29 of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-Brokers) Regulations, 1992 for indulging in carry-forward transactions, delay in payment to clients, non-segregation of clients’ fund and not reporting off the floor transactions. 
 
Shri Pramod Kumar Kothari , member of Calcutta Stock Exchange will not be entitled to carry on the business as a Stock Broker with effect from February 26, 1999 till August 25, 1999. 
 
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended Shri Dwijendra Nath Hazarika, member of Gauhati Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB130333314) for a period of six months. He has been suspended in terms of Sub-Regulation (3) of Regulation 29 of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-Brokers) Regulations, 1992 for failure to produce books of accounts, other records and documents for inspection. 
 
Shri Dwijendra Nath Hazarika, member of Gauhati Stock Exchange will not be entitled to carry on the business as a Stock Broker with effect from February 23, 1999 till August 22, 1999.
