Order against Ms. Priti Dalal in the matter of M/s. Singer (India) Ltd.
Dr. T. C. Nair, Whole Time Member, SEBI, has passed an order dated January 14, 2009, in the matter of M/s. Singer (India) Ltd. directing Ms. Priti Dalal to cease and desist from dealing in securities in such manner which may amount to violation of Regulation 3(a), (b) & (c) and 4(2)(a) & (b) of the SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003. Ms. Priti Dalal has further been restrained from accessing the securities market either directly or indirectly and also prohibited her from buying, selling or otherwise dealing in securities, in any manner whatsoever, for a period of one month.
The order shall come into force with immediate effect.
