Reconstitution of the Board of Directors of Pune Stock Exchange Limited

SEBI had superseded the Board of Directors of Pune Stock Exchange Limited, for a period of one year, w.e.f. April 4, 2003, and appointed Shri B D Banerjee as the Administrator to exercise and perform all the powers and duties of the Board. 

On a review of the functioning of the exchange and taking into account the developments in the functioning and administration of the exchange during the tenure of the Administrator, it has been decided to restore the administration of the exchange to the Board of the exchange, reconstituted in accordance with the composition prescribed by SEBI for all stock exchanges. The reconstituted Board of the Pune Stock Exchange Limited, comprising of five Public Representative Directors, one SEBI Nominee Director, five Broker Directors and one Executive Director, held its first meeting on April 7, 2004 and Dr. K. R. Chandratre, Public Representative Director has been unanimously elected as the President.
