PRESS RELEASE

Chairman SEBI has passed ten (10) Orders dated 31.03.04, against M/s. Trident Steels Ltd. and its Directors in the matter of M/s. Trident Steels Ltd. Chairman has in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4(3) read with Section 11 and Section 11B of SEBI Act directed that M/s. Trident Steels Ltd. be restrained from accessing the securities market and also be prohibited from buying, selling or dealing in securities for a period of 5 years with immediate effect. 
 
Chairman has also in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4(3) read with Section 11 and Section 11B of SEBI Act directed that Shri Ashok Agarwal; Shri Ajay Agarwal; Dr. A Y Degani; Shri Bharat N Vaishnawa and Shri Hemant Hemnani be restrained from associating with any corporate body in accessing the securities market and also be prohibited from buying, selling or dealing in securities for a period of 5 years with immediate effect. 
 
Chairman has also in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4(3) read with Section 11 and Section 11B of SEBI Act directed that Shri Suresh Agarwal; Shri Anil Sharma; Shri Vijay Vishnu Sali and Shri Kuldeep N Parulekar be restrained from associating with any corporate body in accessing the securities market and also be prohibited from buying, selling or dealing in securities for a period of 5 years with effect from April 21, 2004. Vide the aforesaid Order Chairman, SEBI has stated that in case Shri Suresh Agarwal; Shri Anil Sharma; Shri Vijay Vishnu Sali and Shri Kuldeep N Parulekar is aggrieved by this direction, they may file objections, if any, in writing within 20 (twenty) days from the date of this direction with all supporting documents to SEBI. This is without prejudice to SEBI’s right to take any other action as it may deem fit.
