Suspension of registration of broker

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended Shri Deep Kumar Agarwal, member of Uttar Pradesh Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB100348119) for a period of one year w.e.f. September 09, 2002. The penalty is imposed for irregularities in issuance of contract notes, indulging in unauthorised carry forward transactions,, not reporting off-the-floor transactions to the Stock Exchange, not reporting short sale and long purchase positions to the Stock Exchange, not obtained client registration forms and broker-client agreement, not maintaining clear segregation between clients' fund and own funds etc.
