Suspension of registration of brokers

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended Ms. Madhu Jain (Trade Name: M/s Anoop Jain & Co.), member of Ludhiana Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. INB 120704011) for a period of six months or till the payment of balance SEBI fees, whichever is later. The penalty is imposed for irregularities in issuance of contract notes, not reporting off-the-floor transactions to the Stock Exchange, not maintaining clear segregation between clients' fund and own funds and entering into structured transactions. 
 
Ms. Madhu Jain (Trade Name: M/s Anoop Jain & Co.), member of Ludhiana Stock Exchange will not be entitled to carry on the business as a Stock Broker with effect from August 12, 2002 till February 11, 2003 or till payment of balance SEBI fees, whichever is later.
