Suspension of Smt. Kusum Kochar,
Member of Gauhati Stock Exchange

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended Smt. Kusum Kochar, member of Gauhati Stock Exchange (SEBI Reg. No. 130680111) till she pays the prescribed fee to SEBI. The suspension will come into effect from August 03, 1998. She has been suspended in terms of Sub-Regulation (3) of Regulation 29 of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-Brokers) Regulations, 1992 for non-payment of SEBI registration fees. Also, the broker has been warned for irregularities in issuance of contract notes, non-maintenance of proper books of accounts, transacting at a rate higher than the market rate, not reporting off-market transactions to the Exchange and non-maintenance of separate client bank account. 
Smt. Kusum Kochar, member of Gauhati Stock Exchange will not be entitled to carry on the business as a Stock Broker with effect from August 03, 1998 till she pays the prescribed fee to SEBI.
